Fitting Room snapshots (Ann Taylor, LOFT, Banana Republic)

In yesterday’s blog post I said I’ll share fitting room snapshots on Friday but I couldn’t wait so I took a poll on my Instagram stories to ask those who follow me if they want to see these Thursday or Friday. Majority voted Thursday so I decided to listen to you all 🙂

Here are my previous Ann Taylor try-ons and LOFT try-ons.

This blazer caught my attention immediately and while the smallest size available was size 4, and I’m usually size 0, I still had to try it on. It was big, looks oversized here, it is such a nice blazer. I love that it is longer and the color is perfect for Spring and Summer.  I wish I had the chance to compare to smaller size but I might go ahead and order my usual size in this blazer.

Fell in love with these jeans the minute I put them on. I love cropped jeans anyway and these are perfect.  I was able to go down a size in these jeans. I’m usually size 26 but I sized down to 25 in these.

Blazer  |  Jeans

Cute Spring/Summer top, it requires a cami underneath.  Also loving this top (didn’t see it in store).

Eyelet top in xs

Very comfortable and lightweight top. It is quite flowy so you might be able to size down. It’s also great for those of you who might be expecting.

Stripe Top in xs

I tried on size 0 and it had just a tad room in the waist area. with that said, it seems to run a tad big.
Lace dress

I saw this cami, not sure why I didn’t try it on…maybe because I have SO many of these (even though they don’t have button details ;).   Great basic to wear under cardigans or blazers. And alone in Summer.

My jeans below are COH Sculpt  (my most comfortable jeans) and the other ones are Mother (both in my true size. Both get amazing reviews).

Beautiful classic tweed jacket. Wearing size 2 in the picture and it seemed to fit ok (I’m usually size 0 in AT jackets). Wish 0 was available so I could compare and see if it would have been a better fit as I like my jackets more fitted.  Still thinking about getting this one.

Tweed Jacket |  Kitten heels pumps

I liked this jacket until my sister and hubby made some comments about it lol

I think is quite nice actually, easily dressed up or down (I did get this one). Wearing size 0 and it fits comfortably. It also comes in navy.

Jacket in size 0  |  Mules on MAJOR sale – only $24 (final sale though)

Love the neck detail on this light short sleeve sweater (mirror needs cleaning).  Tried on xs and it is a good fit, not too tight not too loose. It’s quite light, which in my option is very fitting for short sleeve sweaters.

Short sleeve sweater  |  Pumps

Love the details on this top. The sleeves are fairly subtle and so is the embroidery, in my opinion.  Wearing xs

Striped Embroidered top

This is such a cute sweater with subtle ruffles. I just didn’t care much for the fabric (just a personal preference)…but it is a sweater I’d get on a really good sale.

LOVE this skirt. Clearly everything is about ruffles this Spring. They are pretty subtle on this skirt and that’s what I really like about it. I don’t think it would be as cute without the ruffle hem. Full outfit coming on Monday.

Ruffle stitch sweater  |  Skirt  in size 2

Mentioned this blouse in yesterdays post. It’s so pretty, I had to get it. I like the fabric, it falls nicely.  Looks great with jeans too.

Tie Neck Ruffle Blouse in xs

Same sweater as a couple of pictures above.

Nice, simple and classic black skirt. I was able to get size 2 in this one without it being too tight (if I gain a few pounds it would be too body hugging). I tend to be in between size in pencil skirts at Ann Taylor.  I had to return a few pencil skirts because size 2 was too body hugging and 4 too loose.

Pencil skirt

Excuse the tank top…I didn’t bring a fitted top with me into the fitting room this time. Really liked this skirt. It’s high-waisted, belt is removable which is nice… can be replaced with another cute belt.

Button Front Pencil skirt in size 2

My sister “made me” try this dress on. Definitely a lot cuter on than I thought it would  be.  Smallest size available was 4 which surprisingly wasn’t huge (I think this dress runs a tad small) but size 2 would be perfect in this dress. Very light. White it is floral I don’t find it too busy (perhaps if you’re not into print it might be a tad much).

Floral Dress

Classic sheath dress with a subtle ruffle detail.  It comes in Petite and Tall as well (I’d go for Tall for myself).  Also available in black. I think I tried size 0 in this one.

Sheath Dress

Not quite sure how I felt about this dress on me. The color is beautiful though.  Tried on XS and it was a tad big/loose in the waist…not as cinched as it’s supposed to be.  Perhaps xxs would have been a nicer fit.  You should be able to size down in this dress. For me it ran big.

Cinched Waist Midi Dress

Banana Republic
(Check online for current promos)

Such a gorgeous dress! I think the lining could have been made a tad better (dark undies don’t work with this dress lol).  Nude undies are definitely a must with this dress…not sure if it’s actually sheer (doesn’t appear to be, but can’t tell in a bad lit fitting room).
I ended up ordering this dress in navy in size 0. Should be here today so I’ll try it on and add a picture on here. So come back later today if you want to see it on in navy (update: got the dress but they sent the wrong one. It was sold out earlier in the week so I had my local store track one down. They tracked down the wrong one. But good new is navy is restocked online so I ordered it before it sells out again).

Eyelet Dress in size 0

Loved the style of this dress! Size 0 fit ok, almost too fitted on the top. I would have tried size 2 if they had it in store to compare.

Gingham Dress in size 0

I saw this dress online and loved it. Wish they had it in store for me to try on.

Loved this seersucker skirt.  It runs a tad big, I was able to fit into sizes 0 which never fits me in Banana Republic skirts.   This rib-knit crew neck sweater is amazing and easy to throw on with any bottoms. It’s not thick which makes it perfect for Spring and even Summer.  I bought it in black (comes in multiple colors).  Since it is quite fitted I sized up to Small…didn’t want it to be super tight.

Hope you find something you love for Spring!

p.s I have some Old Navy fitting room snapshots – would you want to see those as well??
