Fitting Room Snapshots (favorite this month)

Already did a blog post on my favorite pieces this morning but

I Had to go to the store and try on a few pieces I was just drooling over. A ton of pieces were already sold out in my size (and 50% off is not even in stores, it’s online only. Some stores might honor it, they don’t have to. Mine usually does…I shop there way too much lol).

This sale got me actually really excited just because there are SO many gorgeous new arrivals. And most of them can be easily dressed up or down.

Love, love this dress 😍😍  Effortlessly pretty dress. The color is gorgeous in person. Tried on size 0 and it fit well.  Just the right amount of roomy on top. Ruffles are not over the top either. Ah, so pretty!  It came home with me.  Can’t wait to wear it.

Tie Waist Ruffle Dress – in size 0

Really liked this striped dress. Good fit, a tad room in the waist making a little more forgiving (yes please. Saying that as I’m eating a donut).

Love the gold button details and ruffle sleeves.  I ordered XS in Tall but tried on XS regular at the store (I’m 5’6″ for reference).

Striped Dress in size xs

Tried this dress on in size 2 and it wasn’t really big. I think 0 would have been too tight which I don’t like. There is a tad room in the waist, which I find forgiving really. A thin belt can be added to define the waist if that’s something you like.  It’s not too thin, not too thick. I almost with it was a tad thicker  (might need smooth undergarments) but it’s good fabric for Spring and Summer I think. Easily dressed up or down.  It would look cute with a denim jacket for a dressed down look.

Striped Dress in size 2.

This dress is definitely prettier in person. It’s light…just one of those dresses you throw on and look instantly polished (like you actually tried haha).  Cute with flats sandals or heels. Belt is definitely necessary, otherwise is shapeless. Size 0 seemed to be a good, comfortable fit.

Floral Print Dress in XS

Smallest size in store available was size 4 which I had to try on anyway. I could get away with 2 but would try my usual size first, which is 0 (it all depends on the cut/style of the dress but for the most part I’m sizes 0 in Ann Taylor dresses).  The fabric was interesting, reminded me of a nice cotton table cloth lol  Didn’t hate it.

Gingham Dress

Loved this combo! The top runs small, I sized up to Small (xs would have been way too fitted).  Love the neckline.  The skirt is prettier in person (hard to photograph plus the mirror is dirty). The tie waist is a perfect detail.  I tried on size 2 and it was a good fit, not tight or loose. Both pieces came home with me. The top comes in navy as well, which I’m so tempted to get because it goes with everything. And the neckline is just so classy!

Boatneck Top in Small |  Skirt in size 2

Cute gingham pencil skirt but it ran small for me in the hip area (I got hips). If you’re more of a straight figure you might be ok with your usual size. I would have to go up a size in this one. Super cute thought and I love it paired with this top (I think I’m going to get a ton of use out of this top. So versatile).

Gingham Skirt in size 2

Cute top but I think it runs big. Sleeves are supposed to be roomier but it was too roomy all over.  I tried on size XS but it was way too big for XS. I would size down to xxs in this one.  I liked the light fabric, seems comfy… felt like cotton. Over-all really liked this top (prettier in person) but I’d suggest sizing down. Comes in blue too.  Also in Black.

Striped Belted Top

Also love this gingham top with subtle ruffles, so cute, but didn’t see it at the store.

I also ordered this top and this scarf…for my bag. I LOVE adding scarves to my bags…it’s such a nice touch but it can change the look of a bag.

Which pieces are your favorite?

On a different note, I haven’t worn my bright Hunter boots in forever (ones appearing the these pictures above).  But I found the color I really want on sale (which I really want in stead of the coral-y ones I have).
In case you need a pair select colors are on sale 😉  My black pair is also on sale but personally I like the Tour Packable style better (it’s not as wide around my leg and not as still. Plus they can be easily folded and packed for traveling).
