I know I didn’t share a lot from my trip to Croatia (and short visit to Italy). I was living in the moment and if it wasn’t for my sister, I wouldn’t have many pictures from the trip (thanks sis!).
Rovinj was one of my favorite places during our trip (the other one was Venice). The old buildings, the cobbled streets…beyond charing. Makes me want to live there. The tourist seasons hasn’t fully begun when we were there in May, so we got to enjoy the town crowd free.
I would definitely travel again in May or end of August/beginning of September when it is a lot less crowded.
Croatia has become a huge tourist spot in the last few years (always has been but it has gotten insane). I’m fortunate to have my brother be our ‘tour guide’ as he lives in Croatia.
Behind me, in the picture below, is the town of Rovinj. I would highly recommend visiting Rovinj. I think the norther coast of Croatia is underrated. It seems like a lot of people are so focused on visiting Dubrovnik that they miss out on so much beauty in other towns along the coast.
This picture with the cat makes me smile. I didn’t even see the cat until I looked at the pictures (how did I not see the cat, seriously though!?!!) I love that we’re going into the opposite directions. Great shot sis!
The charming little streets of old town Rovinj had so many cute little shops. Amongst them was the cutest art gallery, “Galerija Brek”. Seriously the cutest one I’ve seen in a long time. The bike in front of the gallery made it just a tad more picturesque.
The postcards in this gallery caught my eye immediately. They had the nicest ones…which portrayed Rovinj just as beautiful as it is. Totally frame worthy.
Loved the variety of art. If you ever visit Rovinj, stop by at the Brek Gallery, you’ll love it!
We wanted to take a boat ride while in Rovinj, and some friends recommend a particular boat company. It’s called “Kuba Pula” and it’s owned by the nicest couple. Highly recommend them!
We took a “sunset boat ride”, which is just a little over an hour long (there are longer tours). We were very fortunate to have the boat to ourselves (and clearly they were super nice to take just the four of us on the tour).
iPhone camera came in handy to, since we only brought the 50mm lens with us…
My sister, the one that’s most of the time behind the camera lens (I did not get prior approval to post her picture lol).
Hope you enjoyed some of the pictures from beautiful Rovinj, Croatia.
