Fitting Room Snapshots

A few fitting room snaps from Nordstrom, some from Old Navy and a couple of snaps from J.Crew.

First up this lilac dress which I LOVE! The style is so cute. Sizing was definitely a little off. I tried on size 2 and it fit me well. It was borderline snug in the waist but I was also bloated lol (what’s probably why I hated everything on me that day). If you’re bustier it most likely will the tight on top. It also comes in black (lilac is sold out on J.Crew site). Since dresses are 25% off currently at J.Crew, you can use the Chat feature on the Nordstrom site and they’ll price match this lilac dress.
Lilac Dress in size 2

This was the only Gal Meets Glam Collection dress available in my size. Loved the color, the fact that is has pockets and the length is perfect. I tried to suck in my tummy in here because my belly was definitely more noticeable because of the fabric. I think I would have to wear something smoothing underneath (or just wear it on days when I’m not bloated lol). Overall a cute, classic dress.

Fit and Flare dress in Size 2

I love shirt dresses and this midi one is a classic and timeless number. Pair it with slides, wedges, sandals or even certain loafers would look great with it. Runs tts.

Stripe Shirt Dress in xs

Cute dress but runs large. I noticed that on a few pieces I looked at in this brand, the sizing seemed to be off. I’d suggest sizing down in this dress. It comes in two prints as well. Super cute if you get the right size

Ruffle dress – size down

The print and the color of this dress are beautiful in person. And the price tag is pretty good. It was just a tad low cut for me.

The dress comes in 6 more colors and this one floral print. I tried on XS and it was a good fit. I’d say it runs tts.

Floral Print Dress

I wanted to love this tank. The style is perfect but perhaps I shouldn’t have tried it on in white. Or I should have sized up. Perhaps that was the main issue, too tight. Showed imperfections (told you I hated everything on me that day haha). Really like this one. Noticed it’s not fitted on the model. Might try size Small instead.

Wide leg Pants – xs was not available so tried Small – too big. I love the style though. So chic.

I ordered a couple of things from the sale – this pajama set and this semi-cropped fleece – both are such good deals after the 50% off!

And in full price items I ordered this stripe dress in Small. I received it today and it’s a good fit. Not too loose and definitely not tight (if I did get xs I probably would have sent it back for being too tight). The fabric is like a decent t-shirt material, not too thin not thick…good for warmer months. Happy with it, specially for trips when I don’t want to pack a lot…it’s easily dressed up or down. Will be wearing it with Converse for an upcoming trip but also with sandals.

This shirt dress (posted it on my Instagram) I got a while back is also part of the sale – I got size 4 (it runs small).

I’ve been eyeing this circle straw bag online and I’m glad I got to see it in person. I love the lining and the fact that it opens half way (some open all the way, which for me means everything comes flying out).
It’s a good size. The color of the leather strap and closure is prefect actually, I just can’t seem to decided if I want this color bag or a slightly darker color.

I didn’t plan on trying anything on at Old Navy. Just I made a quick stop to return something but noticed a few cute pieces I had to try. The mirror was filthy…do they ever clean these?!?!!!

And I really with they would remodel the fitting rooms. Why the orange and red?!

Favorite piece I tried on. Really liked the style and fit. Grabbed Small and it was too roomy on top. XS would have been a better fit for me. It as even lined, which was a bonus. Great dress for price in my opinion. Come in black and pretty floral print too.

Gingham Dress

Can’t decided how I feel about this dress. It cute, super comfy but just didn’t love it on me. It comes in two more colors. Tried on xs and it fit fine. Comes in Petite and Tall as well.
Midi Dress

Great dress for the price and there is even a slip underneath, which I thought would be great to use on some other sheer dresses too. I just didn’t love it on me. And I think sleeves are to blame, don’t like “bubble sleeves” on me. Xs was a good fit.
Good length thought, and it comes in Petite and tall as well.
Striped Tie-Belt shirt dress

A bit roomy but any smaller and it might be comfortable. Tie belt solves the problem

This jumpsuit was really comfy, it wasn’t giving me a wedgie like many do, but the top part was too loose for my liking. I do like when they make them a tad roomy, but in my opinion it was way too roomy for me. It gets great reviews though.

I have this sweatshirt with the heart print. Love the pineapple thought. It is super comfortable, soft and it washes nice. Tried on size Small here (which is what I have for a more relaxed fit). I do recommend it.
Stripe Sweatshirt

Love this multi stripe tee (as seen in yesterday’s blog post). Great with white jeans for a nautical look. I got size XS . I also love this stripe tee with the tie detail on the sleeves. So cute.

Ignore the tie part on this tee…it should not look like that. I should have fixed it.
It look ridiculous the way I left it lol If you seen this tee on the model it looks quite nice actually. The top gets great reviews too. I really liked the fabric and the fit of this top. Tts. I do recommend it…tied correctly
Tie-Front Top

Loved the ruffle details on this top. It just desperately needed some ironing or steaming. Tried on XS and it was a good fit. Comes in stripes and a Scenic Print. Cute and comfy for Summer.

The bow wedge espadrilles I have are on major sale (I returned blush since I had other bow sandals in similar color and kept black instead. And the gingham ones). I’m really loving these stripe block sandals.

A few more items that caught my eye online is this cute bag, this color block crossbody and I’ve been eyeing this canvas tote for months it seems. I really like the way it looks and feels in person. Comes in two other colors. Which one do you like the best?
