Haul try-on + outfit ideas

Shopping at night has proved to be dangerous!  I’ve said it before and I think nothing will ever change…it’s dangerous for the bank account lol.   I recently wore a super old pair of Old Navy cargo joggers and wondered why I haven’t worn them in so long. That’s what prompted me to hop on Old Navy’s website and browse a little (not everything below is from ON).  Like most stores, Old Navy is a hit or miss or me (I mean, there is always something to be found).  But right now they’re having way too many great pieces. Especially since all the pieces I purchased compare to very similar pricier items I own.

I’ll start with these soft twill utility pants which I added to my cart last minute. I didn’t think they’re going to be anything amazing but I was proven wrong – they’re amazing!  They fit so well, are lightweight and so comfortable. I might pick up another color. Great pair for everyday wear. I got XS and they fit me tts. (I got these linen-blend pants for my mom and she loves them and wants another color. Great everyday, comfy pants).

 I loved the timeless style and color of this sweater and it’s good one (it comes in multiple colors). Not heavy so it’s perfect for cooler Summer days.  I got XS and it fits tts…a nice relaxed fit. Total Madewell vibes with this cap sleeve button down. It comes in blue/white stripe as well which caught my eye first but have too many blue/white stripe button downs.   The top is very lightweight and perfect for summer. Wearing XS below and it fits tts. It’s not boxy but more of a relaxed fit.  

Skinny Jeans are the same styles as the dark wash ones I recently talked about in this post. These are only $16 right now! I absolutely adore this eyelet top (and it’s on sale!!  It comes in white as well (it’s unlined). It’s more on the shorter side so it works well with high-waisted bottoms. It cinches at waist (it needs to be loosed all the way to comfortably put it on).  I got size small even though XS would have been fine too. Absolutely beautiful top!

  I shared these strappy sandals in one of my collages back in June and had the snake print ones in my cart but forgot to checkout (all sold out now). But I was able to get them in silver (also available in gold but I already have a gold pair).  They’re so pretty and flattering on the feet. I did go up a 1/2 size and as you can see they fit perfectly (but definitely check out the reviews too). Stripes…who can resist!?! I sure can’t!   I love this v-neck tee since there isn’t such a thing as too many tees.  I got XS and it fits tts.  Already talked about these fab jeans in this post!  Love ’em! Striped V-neck tee in XS | Jeans in size 2 | Slides from Zara (old)

I also recently got this striped sweatshirt, which I shared in my J.Crew sale favorites about two weeks ago. It’s unfortunately sold out in all sizes except xxs (I got Small) but I’ll link some great options below.  Like this vintage striped sweatshirt that I’m still thinking I “need” (I mean, loungewear seasons are approaching quickly and we all know once the cooler weather hits all affordable loungewear will be sold out…just like it was at the beginning of COVID). Striped Sweatshirt alternatives here, here with hoodie |  Skinny Jeans tts  |  Veja sneakers (I sized down instead up like suggested) 

I still get questions about the Veja sneakers. In short – they’re great, tounge is stiff but can be softened or moved to the side like I did above and that way they don’t dig into your ankles (unless you wear ankle socks).  I’m size 8 1/2 and got 39. I also love Veja because they focus on environmentally friendly fair-trade methods.   So, I personally love them…so much so that I ordered this pair (that color combo..so good).
