Madewell try-on (sale picks)

I shared my favorites from the Madewell sale in this post (the sale is still going on and jeans that are usually excluded from sales are part of the sale now. So, run).

I mentioned in that post that I ordered, on a whim, this pair of white wide leg jeans that I thought would most likely end up going back. Well, I was wrong! I absolutely LOVE them! They are more comfortable than the pair I’ve had for a few years (as seen in the recent reel on my IG). They have a bit stretch to them, functional front pockets and they’re not a stark white…which I love because they’re easier to wear. I gave my “old” pair to my sister. It’s a win-win

I got my usual size 26 in regular length (I am 5’6 for reference). If you like wide leg jeans, get these. The price point is great!

I almost didn’t order this square neck sweater as I recently got one in white, as seen in this post. I’m SO glad I did. I love the textured ribbed knit and the neutral color that pairs with anything. Decided to order these wide leg jeans as well. You might have seen a similar pair from Walmart in this post, which are actually quite nice. However, I did end up returning them yesterday because the waist was a tad small for me (they’re great on an empty stomach but once I eat I can’t zip them up. I’m actually really bummed about the Walmart ones as the price is amazing but the waist just runs small). These Madewell ones are more comfortable and have a bit stretch to them. Loved the look of this tie sleeve textured gingham top and based on reviews decided to size down. The smaller size fits great BUT because it has 0 stretch to it, I had to unbutton more than half of the buttons to get it on. It’s annoying enough for me to return it. It is a beautiful top, I just don’t want to deal with these buttons each time I have to put it on/take it off. Sizing up would have been to loose.

I have four pairs of ‘perfect vintage’ straight leg jeans and love the style. This color caught my eye so I decided to give it a try. Once they arrived I remembered that I have a Vintage straight leg pair from J.Crew in pretty much the same color. While these Madewell ones are great, I do love the J.Crew ones a bit more. I find them to be a bit more comfortable even though I wish the waist was high like on the Madewell ones. Both are great in their own way. This is the pair I wear a lot. True to size for me but if you’re in between size, size down. The raw them was a bit to fringe-y for me so I cut it off. The color is not as light as on the model, just an FYI. Straight Leg Jeans | Sweater tts | Nude Flats tts
