The Fall Capsule Wardrobe 2022 is finally here!
Fall is my favorite season in general but throw in fall fashion and fall season wins hands down.
If you have been following me for a while you might notice that almost all of the pieces below look familiar. And you’d be right! Some pieces have been in my wardrobe for years and a few are newer. A couple of pieces will be similar to what I own as mine are old and no longer available. The houndstooth coat and the wool blazer for example. The wrap coat looks a bit darker than mine and I actually like the new shade more. My 2019 fall capsule wardrobe looked pretty similar to this one and there is still a decent amount of pieces that remained the same.
Buying pieces that not only are timeless but last is the key. All of these items are classic yet on trend! You don’t have to worry if they will in style next year or the year after. They will be!
The pieces and the color palette in the fall capsule reflect my personal style, they work well with each other and they’re functional. You can easily swap out some pieces to reflect your personal style, wether it is color or cut.
When shopping I always try to focus on 1) purchasing timeless pieces and 2) pieces that can be easily mixed and matched with what I already own. I love elevated basic!

I love that all of these pieces are so easily mixed and matched. And they work perfectly for just about everything else in the wardrobe. And another great thing is that almost all of the pieces from the fall capsule wardrobe can transition into winter and spring.

Will these be the only items I wear this fall season? No! But these are my main pieces and they make it into the rotation a very frequently. Considering our September seems cooler than previous ones, I tweaked the capsule just a tad. I added my lugsole boots (exact ones) but these are very similar and better priced. And I added the houndstooth coat (very similar to my old one) since I reach for it a lot in October and November. I probably should have added these wide leg jeans as I will be reaching for them a lot. Jeans are the hardest thing to narrow down.
Here are some styling ideas…
Some inspo with the stripe sweater. Top left outfit is the exact same as above. Other pieces remained the same with the top being swapped out. But you can see how just swapping the top changes the vibe of an outfit.

Hi, thank you :). I wouldn’t say it runs big. The fit is slightly oversized but not in a sloppy way. I’m usually xs and I purchased it in small. A few of of my reels from Spring feature the coat where you can see the fit. It’s a great coat!
