A Little update + a Few Recent Outfits

I’ve realized something….I almost always begin my posts with “it’s been a while.” And truthfully, it usually has.

How have you been?

There’s so much I could share about what this year has brought so far, but if I wait to write it all out in one big update… well, it might be a while before I actually hit publish. So instead, I thought I’d keep this one simple…short and sweet.

I haven’t really been “creating” much this year. Honestly, I just didn’t feel like it. I was about to dive reasons what might have contributed to it as well, but I promised to keep this short. So I’ll save that for another time.

Lately, though, I’ve been feeling the urge to share again, which is why I shared a few outfits last week. Maybe it’s the cooler weather, but something about it just feels like the right time to get back into it. But again, when I feel like it haha. (granted the mid-day temps have gone up again).

Back in June, we spent two weeks in Europe. Mainly in Albania, with a quick hop over to Corfu, Greece since it was so close. Both were completely new to us, and such beautiful discoveries.

Lately, I’ve been itching to go back to Provence, France (it’s been on my mind for months), but I also find myself craving somewhere new. No big cities…just quiet, serene countrysides that let you slow down and take it all in.

In the meantime, we’ll be sticking with our yearly Autumn tradition a little closer to home…right here in Michigan. Northern Michigan has a beauty all its own, and it never fails to feel a little bit magical. Especially during beautiful Autumn days. 

A few recent looks…

I cannot get enough of wide leg jeans. Not only do they look effortlessly chic, the comfort level is unbeatable.

I bought this Sezane cardigan last year. This color sold out so quickly that I didn’t even get a chance to share it until now. Thankfully, it’s finally been restocked! I already own it in another shade, and it’s such a beautiful, well-made sweater. I followed their recommendation to size down, and the fit is perfect.

If you love a good straight leg jean, these Abercrombie jeans are great. High waist, great cut and price point is good, especially if you can get them on sale.

I have a couple of long wide leg ecru jeans and wear them quite a bit. One has raw hem the other one doesn’t.  Both of mine are old but the options I linked below are almost identical.

I rounded up my top picks, which include the items I already own.  The Jacket has been restocked and it’s part of the sale. I took size small but xs would have been great too. I’d say it runs tts.  The wide leg jeans come in several colors (I have accumulated three over the years). Great fit and style. A lot of amazing pieces are part of the sale!

This is the size small in the wax jacket. It’s a bit roomy and I could have stuck with xs but I kinda like the slightly roomy fit.

These jeans are such a nice style and cut  but they run small.  The lighter shades might have a bit more give but this dark wash has none. I sized up two sizes. One size up made my rear end a pancake and zipping them up gave me a major muffin top.  Of course, sizing will depend on your body type too.  Some reviews say they run tts so do whatever you want with this info. I’m 5’6 wearing Regular length and they’re great with a short heel. Too long for flats.

A recent glamping trip. It was the perfect mix of adventure and comfort. Cozy evenings/nights by fire, beautiful views…and I can’t wait to do it all over again.
