Hello!
It has been a minute since I posted. Not only on here but also on IG. I do have quite a few drafts that…well never made it out of drafts. Hopefully, one of these days they will 😉
I’m still over here trying to process how in the world it’s already the end of September. As much as I love autumn, it is my favorite season after all….this year I’m just not quite ready for it.
I’m going to miss those slow mornings sitting outside in the sunshine, watching Luna chase Pippa around the yard and bark at her because she can’t quite catch up (my favorite type of entertainment). I’ll even miss, believe it or not, pulling weeds out of the flower garden haha.
Maybe it’s because summer always seems to leave a little too quickly. Especially up here. One minute everything is green and blooming, the days feel long, and then suddenly the mornings are cooler, the light starts changing and I’m reminded that those early dark evenings are around the corner. Definitely not ready for those (no interest in leaving the house after 5pm hah).
I usually settle into each season (what choice do we have but still…let me just whine about it for a minute 😉 But on the bright side…I do love a crisp morning, a cozy sweater and the first hint of color on the trees.
Well, this definitely wasn’t what I planned to chat about after such a long hiatus, but here we are…

I do have quite a few things I’ve been wanting to share with you though. I’m working on a Northern Michigan travel guide (which has embarrassingly been sitting in my drafts for years, so it’s definitely due for an update) with some of my favorite places and spots we’ve discovered over the years, an autumn capsule wardrobe, and since we’re heading to Spain soon, I thought it would be fun to share what I’m packing for the trip since I’m planning on just taking a carry-on. I’m also thinking about doing a little roundup of what I’ve been wearing lately and maybe some recent purchases that have actually been worth it. And, of course, I’m sure I’ll have plenty to share from Spain once we’re back.
But enough about me…what have you all been up to? How was your summer? Are you ready for fall, or are you hanging onto these last little bits of summer like I am? I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to.
