What I’ve Been Wearing Lately – Everyday Fall Outfits

Sharing a few everyday fall outfits I’ve been wearing lately, mostly styled with pieces I’ve had in my closet for years.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a good old-fashioned outfit roundup around here (hello mirror snapshots), so I figured it was time to bring those back!

Looking through these photos, I realized just how many of the pieces I’m wearing have been in my closet for years. And honestly, that’s one of the things I love about having a good collection of wardrobe staples. You really don’t need to start fresh every season. Once you’ve built a closet around pieces you love, ones you feel great it, and that you can easily mix and match, you’re already halfway there. Add a few things here and there to fill in the gaps or freshen things up, and you’re good to go!

I’ve been reaching for a lot of my usual favorites lately. Favorite denim, cozy sweaters, classic layers, and shoes that are comfortable enough for everyday life but still make an outfit feel put together.

Anyway, I thought I’d share a few outfits I’ve worn recently. Nothing fancy, just everyday looks that I hope give you a little inspiration to work with what you already have in your closet.

I forgot just how comfortable these straight leg jeans are! They come in several colors, and I sized up, which is what I usually do with this brand’s denim. These are definitely coming with me on my upcoming trip because they’re not only comfortable but also so versatile.

The loafers are a new addition, and I actually almost returned them. Not because I didn’t love them, but because I didn’t really need another pair.  I’ve been wanting suede loafers, though, and I loved the color and style of these. I’m so glad I decided to keep them because they’re incredibly comfortable. There’s a very good chance they’re coming on the trip, too!

The button-down I couldn’t resist! They have such a good selection of embroidered shirts right now, and I’m loving all the different designs. It’s such a small detail, but I love how it adds a little personality to an otherwise classic button-down.

All oldies in this outfit! This structured cardigan is a favorite from last year. I have it in ivory as well, which I wear a lot. I think part of the reason is that I got the ivory in an XS, so it has a slightly more structured fit, while this brown one is a small and fits a little more relaxed. It comes in several colors and has nice weight to it.

I also went up two sizes in these jeans. I find Gap jeans tend to be a little too straight through the hips for my body. The next size up fit just fine, but I wanted a more relaxed look and a little extra room in the waist, so I went up another size. Really happy with how they fit!

Last year, these flats were nearly impossible to find in stock, but they’re back again this year! I can see why they were so popular. They’re really cute and surprisingly comfortable, too. I did go up half a size since my usual size felt a little too snug for my liking. Definitely a pair I’d recommend!

These sneakers are a new addition, and I’ve been on the hunt for a slightly darker pair since last year. Not kidding! I’ve looked at so many different brands, but I had one specific thing in mind: I wanted the sole to match the color of the shoe and be a simple style (within a certain budget). Apparently, that was harder to find than I expected.

And while everyone and their mother seems to own these sneakers, I already knew how comfortable they were since I have a lighter pair. So when I spotted this color, I couldn’t resist. The truth is, Adidas has such a great color selection, and I love how simple and classic these sneakers are. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want!

This long sleeve cotton tee is such a great basic and the perfect layering piece. I also picked it up in gray, and navy might be next since I’ve been wearing these quite a bit. I went with an XS because I wanted a more fitted look, especially for layering.

The blazer is another favorite from last year. It sold out pretty quickly, but I noticed they brought it back this season in even more colors! I’m wearing an XS, and it still has a nice, relaxed fit.

Something about this outfit is giving me major 90s vibes, and I think it’s the loafers and cuffed jeans!  All pieces I’ve had in my closet for a while, styled a little differently. It’s funny how swapping out your shoes can completely change the feel of an outfit. I could easily wear this with sneakers for a more casual look, but the loafers give it that slightly polished, 90s-inspired feel that I love.

Another easy everyday outfit with some of my favorite closet staples. You really can’t go wrong with jeans, a cashmere sweater, and a good jacket. I love how the sneakers keep the whole look casual while the jacket makes it feel a little more put together. Such an easy combination for those days when you want to look pulled together without putting too much thought into it.

Well, that’s a little outfit catch-up for now! Hopefully these looks gave you a few ideas for mixing and matching pieces you already have in your closet. Sometimes all it takes is styling something a little differently to make it feel new again.

Thanks for stopping by, and let me know which outfit is your favorite!
